Use, Privacy & Legal

Plain-English notes on how this site works. This page explains what the content is (and isn't), how analytics are used, and the basics on copyright, reuse and governing law.

1. Information only — not legal advice

jayspudvilas.com is a personal site. It shares my work and projects in education, governance, and civic-tech informed by information and administrative law.

Nothing on this site is legal, financial or professional advice, and using this site does not create a solicitor-client or advisory relationship. If you need advice, you should seek independent advice from a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, all views are my own and do not represent any current or past employer, agency or organisation.

2. Accuracy & liability

I aim to keep information accurate and up to date, but I cannot guarantee completeness or that everything remains current over time.

Use of this site is at your discretion. To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any loss, damage or costs arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or any linked resources.

Outcome data on the Education page are reported at cohort level and are de-identified. I do not publish information intended to identify individual students, and any analysis or interpretation is my own, not an official publication of any school or department.

3. Copyright & reuse

Unless otherwise noted, the content on this site is © 2014–2025 Jay Spudvilas (Jayden Spudvilas-Powell).

This site uses Google Analytics and Ahrefs Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and usage patterns. I do not use these tools for advertising or behavioural profiling.

These services use cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as page views, referrers, approximate location, device and browser information and IP addresses. I use this information in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to improve the content. I do not sell personal data, combine analytics data with other data to profile named individuals, or attempt to re-identify people from analytics data. The site works even if you block cookies or JavaScript in your browser.

If you contact me, I will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify any logs I can associate with you, subject to technical limits and legal record-keeping requirements. These providers may process information on servers outside Australia (for example, in the United States or the European Union). You can learn more about these services in their own privacy materials:

By using this site you consent to the processing of data by these providers as described in their policies. You can manage or block cookies and tracking technologies through your browser settings and extensions.

5. Governing law & contact

This site is operated from Victoria, Australia. Victorian law governs any disputes or issues arising out of or in connection with this site.
